Attorney Rashida Maples received her MBA in April 2000 from Florida A&M University, graduating magna cum laude after participating in the School of Business and Industry 5-year program. As a graduate of Florida A&M University's School of Business and Industry, Attorney Maples has extensive experience in the fields of accounting, finance and marketing including tenures at Citibank, International Paper, Rap-A-Lot Records and Parke- Davis Pharmaceuticals. Working within such industries that include banking, entertainment, forest and paper products and pharmaceuticals, Attorney Maples is more than equipped to utilize her business acumen across all boards.
To expand her knowledge base of corporate affairs, Attorney Maples received her Juris Doctorate degree from South Texas College of Law, affiliated with Texas A&M University and has been admitted as an Attorney-At-Law to the Texas State Bar, The District of Columbia and the New York State Bar all within a year and half after graduating from law school. She is also admitted to the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western District Federal Courts of New York, and also the Southern District Federal Court of Texas. She has extensive experience and interests in all aspects of corporate transactional and litigation affairs, real estate transactional and litigation affairs and entertainment law including tenures with the Shelby County Public Defender’s Office in Memphis, TN, Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts, Stumpf Craddock, Massey and Pulman, Hirschfeld Properties, LLC and The Hopp Law Firm. During her tenure within these entities she participated in assisting in litigation regarding deceptive trade practices, copyright infringement, secured transactions, breach of contract, unjust enrichment claims, quiet title, landlord and tenant, foreclosure and bankruptcy matters. Regarding transactional issues, Attorney Maples has participated in entity formations, drafting and negotiating contracts for songwriters, producers and independent record labels, copyright and trademark registration as well as corporate acquisitions and mergers of small businesses.

To share her knowledge and experience within the legal community, Attorney Maples has been invited to speak at several seminars and CLE programs at The University of Arkansas School of Law, Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University, The BLSA Regional Meeting and Essence Music Festival Entertainment Law Seminars held at South Texas College of Law, The Black Pre- Law Conference at The University of Houston School of Law and Lawline.com.
Additionally, Attorney Maples served as the President of the Houston/ Gulf Coast Network of NABFEME (The National Association of Black Female Executives in Music and Entertainment) from 2003-2005, was named 2005-2006 “LEGAL EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR” at the NABFEME International Summit, is a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, served as the Director of Cheerleading for the Harlem Jets Cheerleaders and is currently on the Board of Directors of Harlem Girls Cheer, Inc.
